ABOUT ME

  • I am Michael Newman and I make signs!

It all started back in 2000 when I spotted a cool jeep at a used car lot. I almost wrecked doing a U-turn to check it out. At the time, I did not know what a G503 was or that Ford even made jeeps. Two days later I was the proud owner of a 1942 Ford GPW (script).

I wanted to share some history of my jeep when I displayed it, so in 2002 I used photoshop and recreated my data plate and added some history about jeeps and had my first sign.

One of my friends in the Dixie Division Military Vehicle Club asked about a custom sign and then there were 2. Since then, I have made signs for over 200 people all around the world. Signs for jeeps, half-tracks, scooters, planes, goats, airborne dozers, ambulances, and HMMWVs. My signs can be seen in the US, Ireland, Switzerland, England, Jersey Island, Guernsey Island, The Netherlands, Australia, and The Philippines.

I live in Alabama, and I am a Disabled Veteran of the US Navy. I was a Hull Technician 2nd class petty officer and served on the USS White Plains (combat stores ship), the USS Proteus (submarine tender), the USS Long Beach (nuclear guided missle cruiser) and in a Navy SEAL Team with SEAL Delivery Vehicle team ONE.

I am a member of the Dixie Division Military Vehicle Club and the Military Vehicle Preservation Associaiton.

My original sign that started it all, made in 2002

"For anyone wondering about the quality and workmanship, I ordered one for my mutt and couldn’t be happier, he does fantastic work with incredible quality. Everyone loves the display sign as much as my mutt when I display em. I Highly recommend him and his product……."
